The 'Ron' Municipal Choir

The 'Ron' Municipal Choir began working in 1975. The founder, manager and first conductor, was the late Nathan Margalit, who for many years led the choir to many musical achievements and took them on a tour to Europe.

The choir operates under the auspices of the Cultural Department of the Petach Tikva Municipality and consists of about 40 members.
At first the choir sang only Israeli songs, but with time the repertoire became more varied including classical pieces, folk songs, Renaissance music, traditional Jewish and Israeli songs.

The 'Ron' choir appears in various frameworks and takes part in regional and national choir gatherings, as well as in official municipal events. In addition, the choir has participated in choral events with other Israeli and international guest choirs, in Israel and abroad. Recently the choir participated in an evening in memory of the late composer Emanuel Zamir, under the baton of Tzika Kaminar. In the framework of the Hebrew Song week in 1996, the choir put on an evening in honor of the late Natan Margalit, conducted by his niece, who has continued his work - Mrs. Anat Dor (Margalit), the present choir conductress.
The pianist of the choir is Rina Lev Ami.
